Marshals Jr Deputy Program

The Marshal’s Junior Deputy Program assists students with developing life skills, promotes good citizenship, and teaches leadership skills. Students will also get a firsthand look into law enforcement careers. The annual program runs for one week in July. Applications are typically accepted starting in April each year.

 

2023 Junior Deputy Program

The 2023 Junior Deputy Program will run from June 26-30. Applications are now open and must be submitted by the close of business Friday, May 26, 2023. Applications can be requested by contacting Sgt. M. Hadley at mekeal.hadley@fultoncountyga.gov or 404-612-4462.

Requirements

  • Must be between 12 to 16-years-old.
  • Be a resident of Fulton County, have a family member who is an employee of Fulton County, or attend a Fulton County School.
  • Complete a one-page essay. The topic is included in the application.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a school administrator.
  • Be of good moral character without having any arrests or convictions records for serious offenses. (Including crimes specifically applied to detainment.)
