Assistant Chief Hill is a native of Savannah, Georgia, where he attended Benedictine Military School. Upon graduating with honors, he received a full Army ROTC Scholarship to Fort Valley State University where he majored in Criminal Justice. After graduating in 2011, Assistant Chief Hill commissioned as a 2LT in the United States Army (Military Intelligence) and began working for the state of Georgia as a probation officer, supervising adult felons. He transitioned and served as a police officer with the Clayton County Police Department located in Jonesboro, Georgia, and was promoted to Detective during his employment there. During his service, Assist Hill became proficient in investigating all property related cases to include theft, burglary, auto theft, identity theft, and financial crimes while also being involved in the investigation of major felony crimes, to include homicides, aggravated assault, battery, crimes against women and children, and elder abuse.

Assistant Chief Hill began service with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in 2017. During his employment, Assistant Chief Hill’s investigative abilities have been called to task within multiple units while conducting high level investigations. The results of his work have earned him the reputation as an investigator who initiates and takes necessary steps in executing an investigation while obtaining quantifiable conclusions that lead to direct results. He is currently a supervising investigator over the FCDAO’s Capitol & Cold Case Unit, Gangs Unit, White Collar Crime Unit, and Civil Forfeiture Unit. Assistant Chief Hill is a committed and humble servant of the Fulton County community. His leadership style embodies the mantra he adopted early in his career: “Lead from the Front, Excellence Always.”
