Chief of Investigations

Before he began his career with Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in September 2013, Chief Capers Green served 9 years at the Henry County Police Department. Green also served as an officer with the City of Decatur and Emory Police Department in Decatur, GA from 2002 to 2006.

Chief Capers Green began his career with Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in September 2013; Green was assigned an investigator in the trial division unit. October 2013, Green was assigned to the dignitary protection team for the district attorney. Green was also promoted to senior investigator. June 2017, Green was promoted to Assistant Chief Director of Security for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Green managed major incidents that occurred at the District Attorney’s Office. Green also supervised the executive security team and occasionally the trial division unit. Green also supervised the investigative division when the chief or deputy chief was not available. Green completed extensive background checks on potential employees.

Green's history in law enforcement consists of leadership responsibilities, S.W.A.T certified, Protective Security Operator certified, advance interviews and interrogations, criminal investigations, special agent in narcotics, gang investigations, team management, and emergency response, and operational improvement. In January of 2021, Green was appointed to Chief Investigator of Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

Green has received several community service awards, Commendations, Chief’s Awards, Investigator of the year Awards from Henry County Police Department, and Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Green received an Associate of Arts degree from Fort Valley State University. Green also attended Herzing College for two years and obtained multiple certificates in computer science. Green is a graduate of Georgia SWAT School. Green is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix's Bachelor's program for Science in Public Administration scheduled to complete in Fall 2021.
